**Bhubaneswar**: Odisha’s School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad Mishra on Saturday said he has no idea why the Central Investigating Agency (CBI) had interrogated Dilip Mishra on Friday evening.
Speaking to media persons, Mishra said Dilip Mishra was his diarist not Personal Assistant (PA).
“I don’t know why the CBI had called them interrogation. I will get the details after I meet them today,” said the visibly irritated minister.
What I got to through media reports is he was saying Pravat Tripathy took his name but later Pravat babu denied it, the minister added.
Meanwhile, BJP said the ruling BJD had close links with Seashore Chit Fund firm.
“Mishra, during his tenure as Culture and Tourism minister, had allowed Seashore to set up a boating project in Mahanadi along with a restaurant on the outskirts of Cuttack city. Besides, he had also given permission to the company to manage a government-run guest house at Atri in Khurda district,” alleged BJP state vice present Samir Mohanty.
Notably, the CBI had interrogated Dilip Mishra and former executive president of the Cuttack district unit of BJD Prafulla Singh yesterday in connection with the Seashore chit fund scam. While Dilip was interrogated for about two hours, Prafulla was grilled for nearly five hours.
