**Bhubaneswar:** Senior BJD MP Tathagata Satpathy is all set to return to his erstwhile profession of journalism and not stay in any political party. He also confirmed to OMMCOM NEWS that he is not going to contest the upcoming polls and will inform Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik about his decision soon.
“He (the CM) has helped me a lot and has always respected me. So I will definitely inform him as basic human courtesy,” Satpathy said.
“I am not going to stay in any political party and I am returning to my old profession journalism,” he added. However, he did not clarify the reason behind his decision.
On Monday, he had tweeted, “Today at Bhakti babu’s mother’s 11th Day after death, Angul. Huge gathering. Nearly my total gang from all 7 Assembly segments was invited/present. Lunched and happily bid Adieu to all.”
Tathagata Satpathy is a senior BJD leader and the member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India representing the Dhenkanal constituency of Odisha. He was re-elected for the fourth time in 2014.
