Puri: With a cloudy sky in Puri today morning, aviation enthusiasts were apprehensive whether the Suryakiran Aerobatic show by Indian Air Force pilots be held. However, the sky became clearer by 10:15 am and by 10:34 am, nine Hawk aircraft pierced into the sky displaying daring maneuvers.
The audience was mesmerised by the tricks of the skilled pilots of IAF. Today’s show was witnessed by Governor Prof Ganesh Lal, Sports Minister Tusarkanti Behera and other distinguished guests and senior Air Force officers.
During this 22-minute long flight, many formations such as Vertical Crossing, Horizontal Crossing, Bubble Formation, XYZ, and the Jai Hind, was displayed by the Hawk aircrafts.
However, due to an overcast sky, the show of colours, triangle formation, and Y formation could not be made. Air Commodore Rana Singh said that the IAF is creating enthusiasm among youths for the Indian Air Force through such shows.
