Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das today provided financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to a tribal girl in Malkangiri district who aspires to be an IAS officer.
Kabita Khara of Pangam Badaguda under the Mathili block of Malkangiri district today got an opportunity to meet the Governor at a programme in her locality. She talked to him and narrated her financial hardship which posed an obstacle in her study.
Within seconds, the Governor announced Rs 1 lakh financial assistance which could address her problem.
Notably, Governor Das today visited various places in Malkangari and interacted with people. He first went to Mathili health centre and met patients. Later, the Governor spoke to the medical staff.
Later, he toured Pangam Badaguda village where he attended a function. Local people apprised him of their problems.
