IAS Reshuffle: Sanjay Kumar Singh Appointed BMC Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: In a minor IAS reshuffle affected by the State Government on Wednesday IAS Officer Sanjay Kumar Singh, a 1997 batch IAS officer, was appointed as Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Singh is allowed to remain in additional charge of Vice Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and CEO, Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd. in addition to his own duties.

He is currently holding the position of Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Skill Development & Technical Education Department with additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Information & Public Relations Department and CMD, IDCO.

Incumbent BMC Commissioner, Prem Chandra Chaudhary, a 2010 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, General Administration & Public Grievance Department.

Hemant Sharma, a 1995 batch IAS officer, who is currently the Principal Secretary of Industries Department with additional charge of Chairman, IPICOL, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary of Skill Development & Technical Education Department in addition to his own duties.

Bishnupada Sethi, a 1995 batch IAS officer, who is currently the Principal Secretary of Revenue & Disaster Management Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary of Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary of Information & Public Relations Department in addition to his own duties.

Dr Krishan Kumar, a 2002 batch IAS officer, who is currently the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government works Department with additional charge of Chief Administrator, SJTA, Puri and Chairman, Puri-Konark Development Authority is allowed to remain in additional charge of CMD, IDCO in addition to his own duties.
