Sundergarh: The Fire Services personnel on Sunday recovered the bodies of three persons, who went missing in the Ib River in Sundergarh yesterday.
The deceased have been identified as Md Rizwan and Md Faran, all minors. The body of their uncle Md Sazid was also fished out after an hour-long operation by the rescue team.
They all, belonging to Regent Market area of Sundargarh town had gone to the riverside for a picnic. The trio went missing in the river while taking a bath on Saturday afternoon.
It is said that they slipped into the deep water after being trapped in quicksand in the river.
A massive search operation was launched by the fire services department to trace the missing persons. However, the operation had to be suspended owing to darkness.
The rescue operation was resumed in the morning by the rescue team.
