Bhubaneswar: Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, visited the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) campus in Dhenkanal to review the progress of its renovation work and discuss future development plans.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress, Jaju assured full support from the Ministry to make IIMC Dhenkanal a centre of excellence in mass communication education. During his visit, Jaju inspected various infrastructure facilities, including hostels, academic blocks, and the audio-video center.
Discussions with Regional Director Dr. Anand Pradhan focused on expanding course options, increasing student capacity, starting a Post Graduate (M.A.) course, and strengthening industry-academic linkages. Jaju’s visit highlights the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing media education quality and strengthening regional centres.
The Ministry’s support is expected to boost IIMC Dhenkanal’s growth, providing opportunities for students and faculty to excel in mass communication education.
