Icchapur Sarpanch Critically Injured In Gruesome Attack

Bhubaneswar: A sarpanch was brutally beaten up by miscreants near Dunguripali block office in Subarnapur district.
The Icchapur sarpanch, Prashant Sahu, was seriously injured after being beaten by miscreants and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The incident occurred yesterday when Prashant and his aide were getting into a car while leaving the block office. Two miscreants waylaid them and dragged the sarpanch and assaulted him. Prashant managed to get into a government quarter. The miscreants even tried to break into the government residence but later fled the scene.
Prashant was admitted to Dunguripali Community Health Centre in critical condition. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Burla.
Meanwhile, Dunguriapali police have initiated a probe into the matter.
