Bhubaneswar: An iconic Adarsha Vidyalaya will be established at Andharua on the outskirts of the Capital city, informed School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash here today.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the Adarsha Vidyalaya to be built on 25 acres of land at a cost of around Rs 100 crore will be laid on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5 (Sunday), the Minister said.
Sharing details of the project, Dash said that it will have classes XI and XII and shall have a student strength of 500 initially who will be naturally promoted to Class XII.
The Minister further informed that the brilliant students passing out of the 314 Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas in the State will study here.
In addition to teaching facilities for normal courses of studies, it will have different types of coaching facilities like for appearing NDA examinations etc, he added.
Dash stated that the entire expenditure from teaching, boarding, food etc of these students will be borne by the government.
