Bhubaneswar: With one more COVID-19 positive case detected on Friday, the total number of active cases in Odisha now stands at 13, informed Public Health Director Dr Niranjan Mishra.
“Though it is not a matter of worry, people should remain alert. Those who have cold, fever and cough should celebrate Zero Night and New Year at home,” Dr Mishra advised.
In addition to this, the Public Health Director told that COVID infection rate in the country is static, there is no upward trend adding that at present there is no need to impose any restrictions but at the same time people should remain alert.
He has further advised that people who are suffering from cough, cold and fever should get tested for COVID.
“People suffering from cough, cold and fever should wear masks while going outside and avoid going to crowded places for Zero Night celebration. It is not our tradition. They should celebrate New Year at home and should not spread the infection to others,” Dr Mishra said.
