Cuttack: An Inspector-in-charge of a police station under Athagarh sub-division of Cuttack district has tested positive for COVID-19. Accordingly, the police station has been declared a containment zone by the Athagarh SDPO Alok Ranjan Ray.
Ray has also ordered collection and testing of swab samples of 22 staff including officials. Another 7-8 employees of the same police station also were reported to have a fever.
It is to be noted here that of the 264 new COVID-19 cases that were reported in the State within the last 24 hours, 12 were from Cuttack district. The district has 139 active cases, 409 recoveries and four deaths as of Sunday noon.
