Bhubaneswar: The India Institute of Management (IIM), Sambalpur, recently hosted the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, focusing on “Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat in Odisha”.
The event, organized in collaboration with Project Point Odisha under the MY Bharat initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports brought together 20 youth delegates, including tribal youth representatives.
The dialogue centered around youth leadership, innovation, governance, and inclusive development, aligning with India’s long-term developmental goals. Eminent speakers, including Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, Satya Prakash Pattnaik, Former Director, NYKS, and Nihar Ranjan Dash, Special Secretary to Government of Odisha, emphasised the importance of empowering young minds to drive nation-building.
The event featured discussions on 10 themes of Viksit Bharat 2047, highlighting sustainable development practices and Odisha’s socio-economic context. Prof. Jaiswal stressed the potential of AI-led innovation in addressing global challenges and India’s issues, while Dash emphasised the need for a new education vision that nurtures every child’s aspiration.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is part of IIM Sambalpur’s efforts to advance national development conversations, leveraging academic excellence, youth engagement, and policy-oriented discourse. The institute aims to nurture socially responsible leaders who can contribute to India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
