Bhubaneswar: Over 3000 students from Odisha, who aspire to join Indian Institutes of Technology, are appearing the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2019 today.
The fully computer based test is being held across different cities including Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Cuttack and Rourkela. The exam has been divided into two papers: Paper 1- 9 am to 12 PM and Paper 2-2 PM to 4 PM.
As per the rules, differently abled students will get one hour extra to complete the test. The rank card for successful candidates will be released online on June 14. Based on the scores, students can take admission in their desired IIT and Engineering branch.
It is notable to mention here that the deadline for online registration of the exam was postponed from 9th May to 14th May after Cyclone FANI caused widespread destruction in Odisha and the students were left with no internet connectivity.
Prior to that, JEE Advanced 2019 exam date had also been pushed back to May 27 from May 19 due to clash with Lok Sabha polls.
