Balasore: Police have successfully seized a large quantity of gelatin and explosives, valued at over Rs 20 lakh, from a house in Mahulshikad village under Gadpokhari panchayat in Balasore district. The explosives, which included gelatin, cords, and cables used for blasting rocks, were being stored illegally at the residence of Ranjan Kumar Send.

According to reports, the seized explosives were likely being used in the Sharishua hills for unauthorised stone quarry blasting.

A police team led by SDPO and IIC of Nilagiri police station carried out a raid and seized the illegal explosives.

Police are investigating further to determine the extent of the illegal activities and identify any additional parties involved.
