Bhubaneswar: Ajay Kumar Parida, Director of Institute Of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, is no more, said sources on Tuesday.
Parida had gone to attend a conference at Guwahati in Assam where he passed away due to cardiac arrest.
Parida’s contribution in Odisha’s fight against Covid was immense. He was also noted for his contributions in the fields of agriculture, plant molecular biology, and biotechnology.
He had been awarded the Padma Shri Award by the President of India in 2014 for his contribution in the field of Science and Technology.
