IMD Advises Fishermen To Avoid Deep Sea Due To Squally Weather

Bhubaneswar: Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the deep sea along and off Odisha coasts, west central, and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal today due to squally weather conditions.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), wind speeds are expected to reach 40-50 kmph, gusting to 60 kmph, resulting in rough to very rough sea conditions. In light of this, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the deep sea along and off Odisha coasts, west central, and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal today.

The IMD’s advisory is effect for today and fishermen are urged to prioritize their safety by avoiding the deep sea and taking necessary precautions.
