Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional office here has forecast hotter days for Odisha during the next 48 hours. According to the weather office, the day temperature (maximum temperature) in most places of the state will be 2°C-4°C above normal.
It has predicted rain at several places in the state in the afternoon bringing some relief to people. Intermittent rains will continue in the state due to western disturbances. Many districts in Odisha will experience light to moderate rain till March 7 and more rains are likely on March 8.
Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain in 12 districts in south and coastal and interior Odisha. The weather in the capital city of Bhubaneswar and neighbouring areas will be dry.
