IMD Forecasts Light To Moderate Rain In Some Odisha Districts In Next 48 Hours

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur in some places of Odisha during the next two days, while the weather will remain dray elsewhere in the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast in its midday bulletin on Sunday.

According to the weather office, light rainfall occurred at one or two places in Bolangir and Sundargarh in interior Odisha and dry weather prevailed over the rest districts of Odisha. Maximum temperatures observed appreciable rise at one or two places in south coastal Odisha & south interior Odisha and no large change at in Odisha. The minimum temperatures observed appreciable rise at one or two places in south Odisha and a few places in north interior Odisha and no large change elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 37.0°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 16.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha:

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 04.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places in Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 05.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of districts of Odisha.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 06.03.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 07.03.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha. NIL

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
