IMD Forecasts Light To Moderate Rainfall Over Next Two Days

Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh tilting southwestwards with height has become less marked. The southwest monsoon has been subdued over Odisha, the Indian Meteorological Department stated.

Over the next 24 hours, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, and Kandhamal districts.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha,” the IMD stated.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower has occurred at a few places over the districts of Odisha with Heavy rainfall at one place over Ganjam district. In Bhubaneswar, the sky will remain cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershower, the IMD further stated.
