IMD Forecasts Low-Pressure-Induced Rains & Thundershower In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As per the mid-day weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the district of north Odisha, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur and at one or two places over the rest of the districts of the districts of Odisha.

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 Hrs IST of 25.09.2020)

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lighting very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Kandhamal.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 25.09.2020 up to 0830 Hrs IST of 26.09.2020)

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lighting very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Korpaut, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Kandhamal.

Day 3 to 5 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 26.09.2020 up to 0830 Hrs IST of 29.09.2020) : Nil rain activities, as stated in a press release issued by office of Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC).

Advisory has been issued to all the District Collectors to closely monitor the situation, be on alert and readiness to meet any eventuality and take appropriate action.
