Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department, Bhubaneswar regional office, has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightening at one or two places in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts of Odisha during the next few days.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is forecast at one or two places in Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts, while dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the state.
According to the MeT office, there is unlikely to be any major change in maximum temperature (day temperature) at most places in Odisha during the next four to five days. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Bhubaneswar and neighbouring areas are likely to be around 35°C and 22°C respectively during the next 24 hours. The region will experience a partly cloudy sky, the weather office has forecast.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures observed a marked fall at one or two places in north interior Odisha, appreciable fall at one or two places in interior Odisha while they were above normal at a few places in coastal Odisha
The highest maximum temperature of 38.2°C was recorded at Boudh and the lowest minimum temperature of 16.8°C was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.
