Bhubaneswar: The cold-wave condition is likely to intensify in the State till December 16. The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar issued a yellow warning in this regard today.
Parts of Jharsuguda and Sundargarh will experience severe winter condition till December 16, the IMD said.
“Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha till December 16. One or two places in Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts may witness shallow to moderate fog,” a weather bulletin issued by the IMD stated.
There will be no large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next three days. However, the night temperature will rise gradually thereafter for two days the weather agency added.
In the last 24 hours, Rourkela became the coldest place in the State as mercury came down to 7.2 Degrees Celsius.
Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places of Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts in the next 24 hours, the IMD said.
Moderate rain is predicted in some places of the State from December 17. Dry weather will again come back from December 20, the Met office informed.
