IMD Issues Heavy Rainfall Alert For Several Odisha Dists Till July 9

Bhubaneswar:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha till July 9.

The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow’ warning for the districts likely to experience heavy downpours during the next three days.

Further, the Met Department has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places across the State during the seven days.

Here’s IMD’s weather forecast and warning for the districts of Odisha for the next 7 days:

Day 1(Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 07.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning: (Be Updated) Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 08.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur in most places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated): Heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khurda, Rayagada, Nawarangpur, Kandhamal and heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, and Nawarangpur.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 10.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 11.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 12.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 12.07.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 13.07.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.
