Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for six Odisha districts, predicting light to moderate thunderstorms with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph, lightning, and light to moderate rain within the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 2:05 PM, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Rayagada, and Ganjam districts will be affected by the weather conditions.
Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
According to the IMD, the thunderstorms are expected to bring gusty winds, lightning, and moderate rain, which may cause disruptions in daily life. People are advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places if needed.
