Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued Orange Warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall for two districts of Odisha.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh today.
It may trigger landslides/mudslides in vulnerable hilly areas, temporary water logging in low-lying areas, and occasional reduction of visibility causing traffic congestion in urban areas.
The IMD has advised keeping arrangements for drainage of excess water.
It has also warned that heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul and Keonjhar today.
Similarly, over the districts of Keonjhar and Sundargarh tomorrow.
