Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for 12 districts likely to witness rain, thunderstorm and lightning over the next 3 hours. This warning holds good till 7 pm in the evening.
The district mentioned in the IMD alert are NAYAGARH, ANGUL, CUTTACK, DHENKANAL,KEONJHAR, MAYURBHANJ, GANJAM, BALASORE, BHADRAK, JAJPUR, KHURDHA AND RAYAGADA (including BHUBANESWAR and CUTTACK).
“People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes,” the IMD stated.
