Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for dense fog in seven Odisha districts, including Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Jharsuguda, Balangir, and Sonepur, on December 5 and 6.
“Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Jharsuguda, Balangir and Sonepur”, read the IMD forecast for December 5 and December 6.
The dense fog may disrupt normal life and cause difficulties for motorists and pedestrians. Residents of these areas are advised to be cautious while travelling as visibility is expected to be reduced.
The IMD has warned of reduced visibility, and drivers are advised to use fog lights and follow safety guidelines to avoid accidents.
