Bhubaneswar: Even as Odisha has been experiencing a mild winter, dense fog engulfed several places in the state during the last 24 hours. G Udayagiri was the coldest place in the state recording a minimum temperature (nighttime temperature) of 7°C.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in at least seven places in Odisha hovered between 7°C and 11°C in the last 24 hours.

The IMD on Friday ruled out the possibility of any significant change in the state during the next five days. However, the minimum temperature is likely to be 2°C – 3°C above normal at several places in the state.

Meanwhile, several places in Odisha, including Rourkela, experienced dense fog on Friday morning.
