Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has warned that thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, and Ganjam during the next 24 hours and has issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ for these districts, according to today’s midday weather report of IMD.
Besides, the IMD has forecast light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
The IMD in its forecast for Bhubaneswar and neighbourhood for the next 24 hours has said that the sky will remain partly cloudy with the possibility of the development of thunder/lightning. Maximum and Minimum temperature is very likely to be around 38°C and 27°C respectively.
The IMD said that there will be no large change in Maximum temperature (Day temperature) during next 4 days and rise thereafter over the districts of Odisha. The maximum temperature is very likely to be 40°C and above at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during the next 5 days. Hot and discomfort weather is very likely at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha during the next 5 days. People are advised to take precautionary measures while going outside, the IMD added in the weather report.
