Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow warning for a thunderstorm with lightening one or two places in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Sambalpur districts of Odisha over the next two to three days.
An IMD bulletin forecast thundershower and light to moderate rain thundershower at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts during the next three days, while the weather is likely to remain dry elsewhere in the state.
No major change in maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely during the next few days. The maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 2°C to 3°C at many places in Odisha.
Bhubaneswar and neighbouring areas will experience partly cloudy skies towards the afternoon/evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the capital city are likely to be around 37.0°C and 23
respectively.
Meanwhile, light rain occurred at one place over the district of Kalahandi of south interior Odisha while dry weather prevailed over the rest districts of Odisha. Shallow fog occurred at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur in north coastal Odisha.
