Bhubaneswar: Dense fog will blanket several Odisha districts during early mornings till December 27, coinciding with Christmas celebrations, according to the prediction of the India Meteorological Department (IMD)
In light of this, yellow warnings have been issued, urging residents and travellers to exercise extreme caution due to potential reductions in visibility, which may impact daily commutes, road travel, and aviation.
The fog is expected to be most prominent in isolated pockets of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Balangir, and Sonepur on December 24.
From December 25 to December 27, dense fog is likely to affect Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, and Sonepur. So, these districts should be extra careful during early mornings
Meanwhile, the IMD advised drivers to use fog lights, reduce speed, and avoid unnecessary travel during peak fog hours.
