Bhubaneswar: The minimum temperatures (night temperature) observed an appreciable rise during the last 24 hours in one or two places over interior Odisha and north coastal Odisha and no large change elsewhere in Odisha. They were markedly above normal at one or two places, appreciably above normal at many places, above normal in one or two places in interior Odisha, above normal at many places in coastal Odisha, and normal elsewhere, the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar said in its midday bulletin on Friday.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.5°C was recorded at Paradip and Sambalpur and the lowest minimum temperature of 18.9°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.
Light to moderate rainfall occurred in one or two places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Rayagada, and Koraput during the last 24 hours.
Temperature Forecast: No major change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next four days and subsequently it will decrease by 2-3°C at many places in Odisha.
