Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense to very dense fog to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, and Bhadrak on January 23 and 24.
The IMD has issued yellow warnings to these districts, advising people to take necessary precautions while travelling especially during early morning hours.
Going by IMD prediction, this weather condition is likely to prevail for the next two days, with no significant change in minimum temperatures expected over the districts of Odisha.
Commuters of these districts may experience reduced visibility, making it challenging for commuters, especially during the early morning hours.
“Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur during early morning hours at a few places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh”, read the forecast made by IMD for January 23.
For January 24, IMD predicts shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur during early morning hours at a few places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh.
