Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has forecast a gradual increase of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in maximum daytime temperatures across Odisha districts over the next four days, followed by no major change thereafter.
A yellow warning has been issued, advising people to be aware of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty surface winds reaching 30 to 40 kmph, likely at isolated places over Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Koraput and Malkangiri districts during the next 24 hours.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Keonjhar in the next 24 hours, while dry weather will prevail over the remaining districts.
On March 24, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at one or two places over Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Malkangiri and Koraput, with dry conditions elsewhere. On March 25 and 26, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are very likely at one or two places over Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri, while the rest of the state is expected to remain dry.
On March 27, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are very likely at a few places over Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri, and at one or two places over other districts.
