Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a heat wave condition in several districts of Odisha starting Thursday.
A yellow warning has been issued for the districts of Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur on March 13.
A similar warning has been issued for the districts of Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur on March 14 and 15.
The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued an advisory for the heat wave condition, cautioning that while the heat is tolerable for the general public, vulnerable people such as infants, elderly, and sick individuals may face health concerns.
The public has been advised to take precautionary measures for hot weather while going outside during noon hours (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
