Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in several Odisha districts due to a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas in Bangladesh.
The system has weakened into a low-pressure area, bringing widespread rainfall activity across the state.
According to the IMD prediction, 15 districts, including Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, and Sambalpur, are expected to experience heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. These districts have been issued yellow warnings.
