Bhubaneswar: Moderate to intense rain/ thundershower with lightning is very likely to affect some parts of Bhadrak, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Angul, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Kalahandi within next three hours, said a nowcast warning issued by the Meteorological Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here at 5.00 PM on Wednesday.
The IMD has issued ‘Orange’ alert for the aforementioned districts.
The weather agency has advised people to keep a watch on weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
