Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar on Sunday predicted that light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in some Odisha districts on Monday and Tuesday.
The IMD stated, “Maximum temperatures observed a marked rise at one or two places in north interior Odisha, appreciable rise at many places over the districts of north Odisha, at a few places over the districts of south coastal Odisha and one or two places in south interior Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, and normal elsewhere in Odisha.”
The weather office also forecasted that the maximum temperature is very likely to rise by 3°C to 5°C during the next three days at many places in Odisha, while there will be no significant change henceforth. The minimum temperature may also likely rise by 2°C to 3°C during the next five days at many places in Odisha.
The highest maximum (day) temperature of 38.0°C was recorded at Bolangir and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 16.6°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.
Light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in Bargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of Odisha on Monday.
