Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rain and thundershower with one or two intense spell of rain in the districts of Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khurdha, Nuapada within next three hours.
Water logging in low-lying area, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas are likely to occur. The Weather department advised people to avoid movement in the affected areas and make arrangements for drainage of excess water.
Similarly, light to moderate rain and thundershower with lightning are likely to occur in some parts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Rayagada, Sundergarh, Angul, Dhenkanal within the next three hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
