Bhubaneswar: The people of Odisha can breathe a sigh of relief from the gruelling heat as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain and thundershowers in several parts of the state for the next three days.
As per the weather department, light rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, and Nuapada, while dry weather will prevail over the rest of Odisha.
According to IMD bulletin, a yellow warning has been issued, cautioning residents of thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph at one or two places over the same districts.
For April 3, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangapur, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Rayagada.
On April 4, similar weather conditions are predicted for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
