Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Koraput and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours, according to the midday weather bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued here today.
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore during the next 24 hours, the IMD has warned and issued a ‘yellow warning’ for these districts.
In its forecast for Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood valid for the next 24 hours, the IMD has said that the sky will be mainly clear becoming partly cloudy towards afternoon/ evening and the maximum and minimum temperature is very likely to be around 39°C and 27°C respectively.
The IMD has said that there will be no large change in Maximum temperature (Day temperature) during next 5 days at many places over the districts of Odisha.
Maximum temperature is very likely to be 40°C or more at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during next 5 days. Hot and discomfort weather very likely at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha during next 2 days and over interior Odisha during next 5 days. People are advised to take precautionary measures while going outside, the IMD added.
