IMD Predicts Rain, Thunderstorm In Cuttack & Bhubaneswar During Next 3 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is likely to affect some parts of the districts of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Khordha including Bhubaneswar City, Cuttack including Cuttack City, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, and Bolangir during the next three hours, said a nowcast warning issued by the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here at 3.25 PM on Friday.

Besides, some parts of the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Gajapati are likely to experience light to moderate rain/thunderstorms during the same period.

The IMD has advised people to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
