IMD Predicts Thunderstorms With Lightning In 5 Odisha Dists Within Next 3 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and rain, along with gusty surface winds reaching speeds of 30–40 kmph, are likely to affect parts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi districts within the next three hours, according to a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 4.15 PM on Wednesday.

The IMD has issued a Yellow warning for these districts.

The weather agency has advised residents to remain alert, monitor the weather conditions closely, and move to safer locations as a precaution against lightning strikes.
