Bhubaneswar: Odisha is bracing for a wet and stormy day today with heavy rain and thunderstorms predicted across the state.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an Orange warning for five districts in Odisha, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall expected today. The districts under orange alert are Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and Cuttack.
Residents in these districts are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
In addition to the orange alert, eight other districts have been put on yellow alert today. These districts include Puri, Khurda, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh, Sambalpur, and Dhenkanal.
The weather forecast indicates scattered thundershowers with light rainfall expected in various parts of Odisha.
