Bhubaneswar: Under the impact of low pressure over the north Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Bangladesh-West Bengal coasts, Odisha is likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall activity till August 21, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
Going by the latest weather bulletin, heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar on August 18.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda on August 19. Similarly, IMD has predicted heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Bargarh on August 20.
For August 21, IMD predicted heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Bargarh.
Going by IMD prediction, light to moderate rain with thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Odisha and one or two places over the districts of South Odisha on August 22, August 23 and August 24.
