IMD Warns Of Impending Thunderstorms In Dhenkanal & Cuttack Within Two Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for Dhenkanal and Cuttack districts, including Cuttack city, predicting moderate thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface winds reaching 40-50 kmph within the next two hours. These two districts have been issued orange warnings.

According to the nowcast warning issued by IMD at 8:40 am, light to moderate rain is likely to affect some parts of these districts, potentially causing minor damage to loose or unsecured structures, banana trees, and standing crops.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on the weather for worsening conditions. In case of an emergency, people are recommended to move to safer places accordingly.
