Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri during the next 24 hours.
It has issued a yellow alert for all the 30 districts of Odisha in this connection.
Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha, the IMD said.
The weather agency’s forecast for Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood valid for the next 24 hours has indicated a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm while maximum and minimum temperature is very likely to be around 35°C and 26°C respectively.
