Immortal In Spirit: Accident Victim’s Organs Give New Life To 7 Patients

Bhubaneswar: In a remarkable act of compassion, a youth, Ashish Kumar Chhual Singh from Sunabeda DP Camp has become a multiple organ donor after his death, giving a new lease of life to seven persons in need.

Ashish, who had just completed his ITI fitter studies and was doing an apprenticeship at HAL, Sunabeda, tragically lost his life in a bike accident near Sunabeda B Zone Golei Chack.

After being hit by a car, Ashish was rushed to a hospital in ‘HAL and later shifted to a private hospital in Visakhapatnam as his condition deteriorated. Despite all efforts to save him, Ashish succumbed to his injuries on the night of April 5.

In a heart-wrenching decision, Ashish’s family chose to donate his organs, which included his heart, kidneys, liver, lungs, and pancreas. These organs were given to seven critically ill patients from Chennai, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, and other states.

Ashish’s heroic donation has made him immortal in the lives of the seven patients who received his organs. His selfless act will be remembered forever, and his legacy will live on through the lives of those he has touched.

Though his untimely demise sent shockwaves in the locality, the noble act of his family members drew appreciation from all sections.
