Income Tax Raids At Mining Company’s Premises In Odisha & Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: Income Tax (IT) officials launched simultaneous raids on several locations of a mining company in various areas of Odisha on Tuesday.

According to reports, the searches are underway at several places associated with SN Mohanty Group in Joda and Barbil in Keonjhar. In addition, raids are also being conducted at the company’s corporate headquarters in Bhubaneswar.

IT raids are underway at the company’s offices in Barbil, MD Prabodh Mohanty’s house at New Forest Park Colony and corporate headquarters at Forest Park in Bhubaneswar.

A total of six teams of the I-T Department are involved in the raids and scrutinising different documents of the company.

The company has an office in Kolkata and IT searches are also underway there. The IT Department officials are questioning the MD and other senior officials of the mining company in connection with alleged evasion of Income Taxes.
