Bhubaneswar: Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian has been involved in several pathbreaking schemes launched by the Odisha Government under the able guidance of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Going a step ahead in fulfilling his duties, Pandian volunteered to safely drive CM Naveen to the Independence Day celebration venue himself.
In the pictures of the I-Day celebrations that surfaced, Pandian is seen driving the car whereas Naveen is seen riding ‘shotgun’ or in the seat next to the driver.
Pandian, a 2000 batch IAS officer has been working as the Private Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik since 2011 and was given the additional charge of Secretary to Chief Minister’s Transformation and Initiatives (5T) In July last year. He is credited with efficient handling of Patnaik’s works.
